CSA Terms and Conditions: Please read thoroughly and sign with your purchase.
(boring and long, but hey we gotta talk about it)
Your CSA UnBoxed Card: Come to our booth during your first pick up at the market you selected (12 South or Franklin) to pick up your CSA card. Bring your card with you to each pick up. You will not be able to pick up your share without it. Your card is a membership card and not a gift card. Your produce will be deducted from the balance as a means of tracking your share. It can only be used at Paradise Produce booths during the CSA season (May 1st-Oct 31 2020). Please use up all your funds by the end of the CSA (Oct 31st).
Unspent funds on the CSA card cannot be refunded nor can they be transferred to another member. If a purchase exceeds your CSA Unboxed share card balance, the remaining amount must be paid with another payment method.
We are not responsible if your CSA UnBoxed Card is used without your permission. In the event you loose your card, you give us permission to void your old card and issue a new one with the balance in our records.
Communication: Communication is important! Rules are rules but Paradise Produce Farm can sometimes be flexible. If you
need something or have an issue, you will contact us to work things out before anything else.
You acknowledge that we communicate to our CSA customers about changes, dates, reminder etc via email. We will be in contact several times via email before your CSA starts. If you have not heard from us by April 15th please check your spam and/or contact us. Rarely, such as in the case of incidental weather, we will send out text alerts so please sure we have a good number for you.
When Does it Start?:
Your CSA begins opening day of the summer market you chose (May 2020). We will send a confirmation email the week before CSAs start to remind you to begin picking up your share. Your CSA ends at the last market of the season or Oct 31.
Produce: By becoming a CSA member, you understand that you are assuming some risk of farming. You understand
that Paradise Produce will do EVERYTHING in their ability to have successful harvests, but there are
a multitude of reasons that crops can fail. (this is our acts of God clause.) There is not a 100%
guarantee of availability of produce or plants to purchase.
Produce and plants are seasonal and first come first serve at the markets. While our booth is open the entire market, we recommend coming at the beginning for the widest selection of produce. Occasionally we won't be able to come to market in the event of illness, extreme weather, or temporary seasonal hazards severe enough to damage crop (drought, blight, etc). If this happens, you may visit another of our market locations or double up the following week. Paradise Produce will do EVERYTHING in it's power to prevent these issues and provide continuous produce for you.
Payments:
If you have chosen a payment plan, your share spot bonus will be reserved but not be finalized until your last payment due April 1st. Failure to make final payments by April 1st will forfeit your bonus and your card will only be loaded with the current total paid.
Expiring Date:
Your card does not expire. But to help your farmer, please agree to use it up during the season it was purchased.
Why Can't We Do Refunds?:
When you purchase a CSA you are not just buying produce, you are supporting the small family farm system. You make chemical-free, sustainable farming possible. Each penny goes to support our farm and family and in turn is converted to sweat, dirt, and occasionally tears. Then, in our turn, we can support your family with beautiful natural produce. By purchasing a share you are also claiming a spot in our CSA which somebody else wanted. The payment is a nonrefundable security deposit to ensure membership goes to those who really want it. Paying ahead of time for your produce also helps us know how much seed to buy and provides the money to do so.
Paradise Produce has the rights to amend agreement terms and policies and any changes will be communicated to members in a timely manner.
By purchasing this CSA share you are agreeing to these terms and conditions. If you have any questions about them please contact us before purchasing.
Thank you so much for supporting Paradise Produce Farm and our family!
You make chemical free, sustainable farming possible. We love growing for you!
