It is a sad day at our home come late fall when the last of “Stacy’s Potatoes” are boiled, lightly touched with butter, and then slowly savored. The same is to be said for his carrots and beets. Somehow the earth at his farm produces the sweetest produce that has ever graced our dining table.

Buying from Paradise Produce is a win-win situation for our family. The produce we get is more flavorful and more nutritious than anything we’d find in a chain store. We get to enjoy food at the peak of freshness, literally hours from the time it was picked, and to try unique varieties not typically found in stores, where the ability to withstand long trips before reaching grocery store shelves is a primary consideration in selecting varieties for sale. And all the while, we reduce pollution and reliance on oil, because our food doesn’t have to travel many miles in a truck to reach us. Besides that, because I know Stacy and how much research and care he takes to grow his produce, not just avoiding harmful additives but by enhancing the soil, I can trust that his integrity will give me produce grown, not for the highest profit margin but for the best quality and nutritional benefit. Food that is better tasting, better for me and my family, good for the environment and delivered by the person who grew it; what’s not to like?!
